We said yesterday that Biblical marketing differs from conventional marketing. Here’s how:
- Conventional marketing says, “Tell people how great great you are; Biblical marketing says, “Let others say how great you are.”
- Conventional marketing tries to find the best ways to get people; Biblical marketing finds the best ways to serve people.
- Conventional marketing focuses on a good products and services; Biblical marketing focuses on great products and services.
And so on.
So the question that comes up is: “What would Jesus do?”
What Did He Do?
It was simple.
He said Who He was and He allowed people to say how great He was.
That’s it!
There’s a saying: “If you want people to believe you’re funny don’t tell ‘em you’re funny. Tell a joke!”
It’s not your job to tell people how great you are–that’s reserved for the people you’re serving. It’s you’re job to tell them who you are.
And if you’re serving people the way Jesus did you’re gonna “have a lot of ’splaining to do!”
Your thoughts??
