Conventional Marketing vs Integrated Marketing: How Important is Marketing to Your Company?

Things were so much easier in the past:

Limited Product Choice but Plentiful Supplies +

High Demand for Good and Services +

Clustered Consumers +

Broad Access to Very Few Media

= Little or No Consumer Resistance to Advertising

Businessmen were able to  delegate such “trivial” things as marketing to a…hey, how does this sound?…a…”marketing department.” They could put out a couple of ads, give a few brochures, yell the loudest and enough times, let the customers know what was being sold, and “let them” buy.

Good customer…that’s a good boy!
